“Would I be here with you if I didn’t?”

“Are you sure that you won’t get bored with me?”

“You’re so different. Who could get bored?”

“All right, but how do I know you wouldn’t cheat on me with the next slime-bag that comes along?”

“You don’t know that many people. They’re all slime bags.”

“Which brings me right back to my question.”

“Fair enough. How about we leave that question open for a bit?”

“Okay. Where do you think our relationship is going?”

“We have our whole lives to figure that out.”

“That is true, but what if we don’t have anything in common?”

“Well . . . it’s a gamble then isn’t it?”

“I guess . . . ”

“Look, things like this don’t just happen everyday, you know.”

“I know, but I have been waiting this long, and I need to know if you are the right one for me.”

“I might not have that much time.”

“Then how will we spend the rest of our lives together?”

“Fine. I’m not getting any younger here. I think I’ll go look for someone more charming.”
